Am Tien was originally a place for royal retreats and religious practice during the Dinh Dynasty in the 10th century. Legend has it that Queen Duong Van Nga once stayed here for meditation, and later it became a secluded temple site for monks. Am Tien Pagoda lies partly in a cave and partly outside, offering a mix of natural and man-made architecture. Notable features include:
