Location and Overview

Đại An Pagoda is situated in An Thịnh Commune, Văn Yên District, Yên Bái Province, Vietnam. It is the first Buddhist temple established in this district, symbolizing the expansion of Buddhism into the rural areas of the region. The pagoda serves as the headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Văn Yên District, playing a pivotal role in spiritual and cultural activities. 

Construction and Architectural Features

Construction of Đại An Pagoda commenced in January 2016, with the first phase completed in December 2019, covering an area of approximately 1,765 square meters. In December 2022, the pagoda inaugurated its Tam Quan Gate and Ancestor Hall, enhancing its architectural grandeur. The pagoda's design reflects traditional Vietnamese Buddhist architecture, harmoniously blending with the natural landscape.

Đại An Pagoda serves as a central hub for Buddhist activities in the region.
